Hi everyone.
I'm keyboard player from Poland, and I've got an problem:
main board in my Radias is broken - unfortunatley i can't fix it. I talked to Korg Service in Poland, but this part is quite expensive (something about 650usd). I bought Radias in USA (about 900usd), guaranty ends already. I'm looking for some chipper dissolution. Maybe you have some idea? I looked for some parts in web but i didn't find anything. Please, i need help!
ps. all i know ist that part name is KLM-2693 main board Radias.
Regards

Sorry to hear that. Can you tell exactly what is broken on your board? Photo? And what was the cause? Is it really beyond repair?
Maybe it is cheaper to look for a used Radias on ebay.

im really dumb when it comes to circuitry, and IDK about polands power grid, but plugging a US keyboard into a European socket doesn't sound like the best idea to me, I believe they have different PSUs

really, don't quote me on this, i know barely anything, but from a logical perspective if u can get a motherboard replacement you should be able to fix it. i doubt that specific motherboard is fixable

Hi bananmelon,
well, certainly it should have nothing to do with the power grid because there is an external power supply that should be universal. As far as I can see, there are 4 inductances (L62 to L65) that got burned out (melted) on the board KLM-2693-A. The other board only has the residues (smoke) of those.
It seems that the burned inductances were connected between two power planes. Since I don't exactly know what this board is for, it maybe would help to have another picture with a total view of this board. If it is double sided, then take pictures of both.
What is a little strange to me, is that for such a damage a considerable ammount of energy is needed, which could be a malfunction of the power supply.
Maybe you can tell me if that board is the one to which the power supply is connected.
Having the schematics and supposing the important and expensive parts are not damaged it could be reparable.
