hello there. I just ordered the M50 and I'm thinking if it's possible to have fills, variations and so on switched live, just like on an arranger keyboard.
I know it has some cue list and stuff, but what does it exactly do?
Can I call out the fills in real time during the beats, and change variations on the fly? Will they sync in? Like if I activate a variation too soon, will it wait for the measure to finish and switch?
If it can't do this, it would be nice to patch in something like this and make probably the numeric keypad to activate different beats, fills and so on.
I also have a PA50 at home
Thanks and sorry for the newbie question, but I just can't hold back until my M50 arrives.

No, it wont work as the PA50 or any arranger. Something similar
can be achieved with the M3 thru KARMA but not the same.

so I won't be able to play music by switching beats and stuff in real time?
Only by composing the whole back sound and drums first, and then play on it?

Actually there is way.. You can copy a drum track in a selected user pattern for instance Drum main 001. Then just right after the pattern again copy your fill in pattern in fill 002 and a variation in 003 and again Drum main in 004 and End in 005. So for a song you have to sacrifice 5 drum track pattern. Then go to the drum track in combi or program mode and play the beats, use increment or decrement button to use your main, fill, variation and ends as they are sequentially organized... Thats what I actually do

I know its not a better idea but it works. Or you can use RPPR and assign 4 chord triggers to have that main, fill and variation. Watch Rich Formidoni's video on you tube. That will really help...!! Here is the link:
