hey everyone,

i'm new to this site and have a question.

how can i play my songs on a sd-card to my vista 32bit?
i have a notebook "acer aspire 7738G" included a sd-card reader.

my vista read the sd-card from my m-50 in files, but c'ant convect
the audio from the m-50.

any solutions?

The sequencer files you save onto the SD card from your M50 contain no audio recording.

when you 'record' on the M50, you are simply recording the MIDI data, meaning which notes you play, which controllers you change, etc. This is what allows you to edit the notes and change the program sound without having to re-record. This is generally the biggest difference between an on-board sequencer and a fully fledged DAW. you are sequencing midi rather than recording audio.

the SEQ file also contains information on the effects routing, mixer settings, arpeggiator, drum track, program assignments and MIDI channels, transposition, etc.

What this means is that the data needs a synth - the M50 - to play back the sound, and you're not hearing a recording of what you played, rather you are hearing the M50 reproducing your performance again.

The only way to get the sound from the M50 to a recording on your laptop is to record the sound from the M50 through your soundcard/line in connection (not the mic connection! although sometimes on laptops they are the same socket)) or through a professional USB or Firewire audio interface.

you could also plug straight into a CD, hard disk, or tape recorder device and record that way.

for best quality I recommend you record in stereo.
