KLE-DE and Pro Tools?

I'm interested in the Digital edition synths but I see no way to demo these to see if they truly do work with Pro Tools 8. How is this done? Are we supposed to take it on faith that they work and just buy them? I ALWAYS demo first as I have found that RTAS instruments are always an iffy thing(not Digis' fault though).
I've also looked around the Korg site and I see no sign of any email product support. Surely there must be something for all those products!?
Do the new updates fix all the issues with Pro Tools?

Here is a list of changes in the latest release of Digital Edition 1.3.2 -

Changes and revisions in v1.3.2 from v1.3.1

Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (32-bit) is now supported.
[Bug fix] In Mac OS X 10.5, the application sometimes could not be launched in standalone mode, and the error message "[Application Name].component not found" would be displayed. This has been fixed.
[Bug fix] In Digidesign Pro Tools, when playing MIDI sequence data, the timing sometimes became misaligned. This has been fixed.
M1

v1.6.2

[Bug fix] In Apple Logic and MOTU Digital Performer, multiple output channels could not be used. This has been fixed.
[Bug fix] In Digidesign Pro Tools running on Mac OS X 10.5, M1 did not work properly when setting the number of "RTAS Processors" in the "Playback Engine" above two. This has been fixed.
WAVESTATION

v1.6.4

[Bug fix] In Apple Logic and MOTU Digital Performer, multiple output channels could not be used. This has been fixed.
Some minor low-level operational bugs have also been fixed.

If you're still unsure, there is a link to all Korg distributors regarding User Support on the left side of the www.korguser.net front page or navigate to the home page for your Korg distributor for direct contact information (www.korg.com - Korg USA, www.korg.co.uk - Korg UK, etc.)

HTH! :)

Thanks for that info...but that just lists what they supposedly claim they fixed. What I need is confirmation from Pro Tools users saying that it works.

No Demo!? Really....I mean that's just absurd.

And how can I contact Korg product support if I have a problem?

If you're looking for feedback from Pro Tools users specifically, you might want to check out the Digidesign User Conference at http://duc.digidesign.com

Google helps you to find support distributors world wide.

Pro Tools forums are the best place to ask Pro Tools users.....

I know. I'm on it. I've been on the DUC for many years and will aske there but it doesn't mean I'll get an answer. I figured with a Korg prouct go right to Korg. I don't know why I would look to get support from a distributor when Digi, Arturia, Gmedia, Wayoutware, etc. all provide direct support.

The distributor refers to the Korg representation in each country. Korg USA handles inquiries within the US, Korg UK handles inquiries in the UK, Jam Industries handles inquiries in Canada, etc. Yamaha, Roland and many other large brands handle things exactly the same way. Because of the large amount of business that each of these brands do, there are often separate companies that handle the brand in each major market. This would encompass sales, marketing, support/warranty, etc. As such, you should direct your inquiries to the appropriate distributor for your country. This will insure that your inquiry is addressed as quickly and appropriately as possible. We've already directed you towards the official release notes from Korg, the appropriate website to find Product Support in your country as well as the DUC. You should be able to find your answers from those sources.

OK, thank you. :) I think you know what I mean though. If I'm interested in demoing a synth from Arturia I download the demo and it either works on my system or not and I decide appropriately on whether to buy it or not. If I have a question I post on their site or send them an email. Pretty basic. Same with Digidesign.
I'll check it out and see what happens. 8)
