MS-20 controller doesn't control MS-20FX in Logic

I'm using Logic Studio 8, and the MS-20 controller works like a dream for the MS-20 as an instrument, but when I insert the MS-20fx, my knob twiddling - with the exception of the volume control - does not show up on the MS-20 plugin screen.
Am I missing something?
Please help as I am DYING to record filter sweeps using my MS-20 controller!
