problems installing OS 2.53

I tried to install OS 2.53 but had a read error on the first disk, so now when I hold down enter+locate I get a flashing message saying (system restarting). Is there other buttons to hold at start? Any help would be most thank full.

Try reformatting your disks, and try again.
You're using the correct buttons.

Yes tried refomating but still get same message when I hold down enter+locate when turning on. I think I've stuffed up something with the rom ect.

First make sure that the OS is saved on the floppy that is clean(meaning no sort of hidden virus from the pc, cause as i far as i know, this can cause bugs on the file and even on the system.)
then make sure the triton is off, insert the disk, hold the enter&locate together (as far as i know this is the only combi key to upgrade the os of the triton), then press the on button while holding the key.
