BPM delay

I am trying to design a piano sound using L/C/R BPM Delay as an insert effect. I've got all the taps after the initial note the way I want them. Now I am just trying to find a way to take away the initial note strike so that only the delay taps are left over. Is there a way to do this? To me the effect that I'm going for is similar to an arpeggiator where you would uncheck the "keyboard" box so that only the arpeggiated notes sound and not the initial sound of the keyboard. Is it possible to do this with an insert effect like this or am I thinking wrong?

If it is an insert effect then you can just set the mix to 100% (Wet), then you will only hear the 'effect' sound and no 'direct' sound.

That won't work for send (master) effects which work differently.

Thanks! I guess I should have been able to figure that out. I was just thrown off a little because the first "effect" note sounds just like the "direct" note would. It's a very subtle difference.
