hi guyz, i just have some problems with my triton extreme ,i have some question:

my pitch bender does not fully come back to the center when i bend it to the right but to the left is ok. we opened the bender and found out that a white washer piece is not in its place and there was a hairline crack in the plastic. so we sent the bender to korg. now i am using the korg with out the bending piece so is it ok to use it with out the bender? i mean will it harm the main board? and do anybody know a place where i can order a pitch bender for the triton extreme because its taking korg forever to repair it and i dont think they will replace the bender.

Shouldn't hurt it at all. The pitch bender on my Triton Extreme was broken also (I got my Triton used) so until I fixed it all I had to do was go into Menu/Track Parameter/Pitch and turn the bend ranges to +00 (disabling them basically) and save the combinations (or sequences)

Hope this helps,
Greg

Hey hasmas hows it going?

It pains me to say I also have the problem you speak of with the pitch bend not reverting to it's proper position.
I find that I can't live without my JOYstick-because it's simply the best out there in terms of expression. What I did was learn to live with it. When you have to put it back to the middle use the indicator on the left side as a point of reference.

When you move from say middle position to the left you know it will go back to the middle when you let it go-So,
when you move from middle to right-just quickly put it back in the middle by hitting lightly the beginning of the left....I hope this helps.

Dr. try asking @ http://www.korgparts.com/ for new spring or the whole joystick unit in case of doubts with joystick assembly. That's what Hasmas already did. They should still have these parts in offer.

Best regards,

Bro, you are the best!!! I've wanted to repair the stick for some time now but I don't know how to take the board apart and NOT rip out a wire or two... So how's it going? Do you make instrumentals or in a group? etc...

The link to korgparts is known to me since shrike let me know about it regarding service manual (which You might be interested in as well if You want to disassemble your unit).
