LOVING THEM both...BUT

>they take a 4.5v adaptor in the UK
and nowhere on the units or in the manual/ignored request from korg, does it say the correct 'mA' requirements for them...
how can we be sure what the safest adptor to use is, folkies?...

Please help - tired of constantly replacing batteries :(

The korg site has a spec for the minikp that defines it as 4.5V 500mA centre +.

Really you don't have to worry about the mA though, that's just minimum. It draws 500mA, but if your supply can deliver more the kp will still only use 500mA.

I can confirm that.
I got Korg's own KA191 adapter in front of me and yes, Output: DC 4.5V 500mA + in center
Any adapter with these specs will do, they're all made in China anyways, even the one from Korg. I just paid extra for the sticker with the logo on, heeh..

Don't worry about that, the only thing that could happen is the destruction of your adaptor. If your device draws more mA than the adaptor can deliver, the adaptor will overheat and brake down.

You can't ever kill your KP or Kaossilator with a wrong mA only the adaptor!
