Hello,

I am new to this forum. I am looking to buy a korg Pa1xPro or Pa2xPro. I would appreciate information on the differences between the Korg Pa1xPro and Pa2xPro? :?

I am having difficulty deciding whether it is worth paying the extra dollars for the Pa2xPro if i could get the same sound quality, styles, sounds..... etc in the Pa1xPro? :?

Would the Pa2xPro give me superior quality and if so to what extent?

Your honest advice would be much appreciated.

Thankyou.

Hello!
Some sounds are better in the Pa2x. Piano for example.
It provides more more polyphony and it's usefull if you play like a piano player.
It provide more EQ functions for better sound quality.
And you can give it up to 256 Mo of extra sampled sounds.

So it sounds not very different from PA1x, but you can make it sound very better.

And you can give it up to 256 Mo of extra sampled sounds.
For this feature alone, I think the Pa2X is a huge improvement.
With 256MB, you could load every sample library currently available for the Pa1X to memory.

All of them as the same time

I, too, am considering the Pa2xPro board. There are a couple of reasons why I am leaning this way.

1) The new sampler specs will give you the option of a new direction,as far as new or different sounds. Never have to complain about the sounds again, you are in total control here.
2) More EQ functions, if you have the expertise to manipulate it.
3) and lastly...The board just looks great !!!

The fact is, that most users will not exploit this machine in ways that it was designed for, but it is nice to know that all these options are available thus negating the idea of a closed board. I just wish that it would hurry up and get up here to Canada. :D

He does not own a Pa1X or a Pa2X.
This is not another .... “is it worth upgrading from a Pa1X to a Pa2X” thread.

It's about a new purchase.

First we have to wait for it...to touch it....to use it....after 1-2 months, then we can have a "real" impression about PA2X,even if we know that after 2-3-4 years we discover new things about a kb(like PA1X, Tyros...etc).
so....wait....just wait!

Hi
I have pa800 ,which is very similar to pa2x -Go for pa2x -I love the pa800 its far better than most on the market at this present time
Its like a computer there is always one with more spec every year what do you do ? if you keep putting it off to buy one youll never have one or learn about them?
For most home use the 800 is best with its built in spekers etc but if you are a proffessional then go for the pa2x with more keyboard more ram and the 2x more up to date[/b]

Dani,

Korg claim that the keys on the Pa2x are superior to the Pa1x Pro, so I don't think you'll have any complaints.

Rob

I have tested the pa2x, and get confirm, the keys, are the same as pa1xpro, the only different is the feel, pa2x has not plastic
