Which OS i'm running?!?

Hello
How can i check which OS i'm running?!? i tried to install the OS update 1.02 to ESX1. But the Update didnt run, so i thought porbably i already have the 1.02 from factory, but then i should can overwrite it, and this didnt work...Any Ideas?!?
