What headphones do you people use for them late night studio sessions?
Im lookingto buy a sennheiser HD25 or the HD250 II.

Hi!
I've tried Sennheiser and didn't like them because of their boomy sound.
I liked AKG but I tried just the open version, not the closed one.
At the moment, I'm working with a pair of Sony 7509 and I really like them, they sound nice to my ears, and seems not to emphasize any frequence (of course, I suppose they are not "truly" flat, but the work very well IMHO)
HTH

I`ve tried plenty of them but as the closed ones I`ve chosen Sennheiser HD-280 PRO and as open ones - for mastering nuances checking - Sennheiser HD-595. They are really good and not too expensive. Don`t sound boomy or so but rather compliment nicely with my Tannoy System 1200 studio monitors - there is no drastic difference in sound between them as was in case with Beyer-Dynamic or AKG which were way too bright on top and with too much low end.
cheers

Try the new Koss, before you knock them, however...,
For just listening...and I am TOLD..by a few, studio use..
I have Pro 4 AAAT and Pro 4 AA...They are the best..I have bought and tried others,..believe it...BUT...they ARE heavy and uncomfortable, so I have Senn. for long period use....(too boomy...). I need to mention my listen is basically classical..Koss are known for classical...
I still have also.., the orig...Koss ESP 6A ...(electrostatic), I had rebuilt and cal. by Koss..You'll not beat them...if you could ever find...they go for high prices today...but they won't..work..on an ipod....
Just some "eccentric" side-comments for you...
