I try to explain this, hopefully you will udnerstand.

I'm trying to sequence a song that has in the chorus a part that changes chords at bar beat 3, and then goes from there as beat 1. So its like the song skips two beats like 1,2,3,4; 1,2; 1,2,3,4. This happens two times in the song in a long chorus part.

If that makes any sense? I can do that in normal play by just stopping the accompaniment and starting it again after two beats.

But when recording in sequencer that does not work because the sequencer keeps trak of the beats. So when I try to start the accompanimet again, it waits until the bar is complete and starts two beats too late the accompaniment again.

I would really like the sequence the whole song.

Hoepfully someone understands what I mean and maybe has a solution to this.

With the PA700, you can create a song from scratch.
It can receive MIDI events (maybe Note-Events of Drum-Sounds) via the MIDI In port from another MIDI device and thus supplement the data of an SMF (Standard MIDI File), but you cannot record audio sequences with it.

With Event Edit, you can also edit the events per track in the order and in the way you want.
Of course, the sequencer follows the beat, but there are all the editing tools for editing events without starting the sequencer.

Multitrack Sequencer mode: will record a MIDI Song by playing live over up to 16 MIDI tracks.

create drum and percussion tracks. Overdub Step Recording will add to existing events, while in Overwrite Step Recording will overwrite all existing events.

Backing Sequence (Quick Record) makes recording much easier and faster, because just recording a live performance on the keyboard accompanied by the
Styles, without to record separate part. After saving, this ‘quick song’ will be converted into an ordinary sixteen-tracks MIDI Song.
