...but how many of (us) have purchased a second Kronos (second-hand) to replace the one that broke and is nightmarish to fix?

But seriously, think between the DIY community, AliExpress and eBay, there should be plenty of options for getting a broken Kronos up and running. Having a separate machine just for spare parts seems excessive. If you got the money, then yes, great option. But also need to consider Korg putting out something better that may make it not worth it.
