I like mine because it feels fine and plays well.
And it doesn't rattle.
He did send it back by the way. Which, in my opinion, he could have just done without all the fuss.
Cheers

Hi ,
Mine doesn’t rattle either. What happened to his keyboard shouldn’t have happened. I’d be upset if it happened to me.
Putting it in context, it started to unfold here

But korgs not the only one that has had problems with keybeds
things go wrong. It didn’t stop people buying Yamaha keyboards.
My sx900 keybed has been ok so far, but I don’t use it much as I use my PA5x as controller.

Yamaha and Korg have fix it. His keyboard has gone for repairs .
Think he’s planning on selling it.
Wonder who would feel safe buying secondhand, unless warranties are transferable?? I don’t know .

What fuss?
I didn't send it back. I brought it back and is now with Korg.
The rattling and squeaking wasn't there to start with, but started after quite minimal use (safely stored in a Zaor desk drawer) and got worse and seemed to even spread to surrounding keys.
The Fatar keybed itself seemed noticeably noisy even when it was working "right" during the first few months of ownership. I couldn't really enjoy it with just studio monitors and had to resort to headphones. Playing around 10 different keyboards / pianos in the store confirmed that this is not isolated to the Pa5X. Let's put it this way: I wouldn't have a Fatar related keyboard/piano again.
The 61 key version of the Pa5X that was in the store felt ok, very tight, like I'd expect from a high end quality synth / keyboard.

They are NOT transferrable I have understood with Bonners, but I will double check with them. Korg state the following so I suspect that is correct:
This warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser only and may not be transferred or assigned to subsequent owners.
If you get Extended warranty from Gear4Music they explicitly state they are so that is definitely worth considering on a £4300 machine.
With Bonners I may try to opt for a trade in, but I'm not sure how that will work out. I will take a big hit as I found out before.
I'd probably have the Kawai MP11SE for it which is less than half price and wait till July till there is stock (and as long as there is on site warranty for that heavy machine). That is how pissed off I am with this experience.
You live and learn.

Hi, had an awful feeling warranties may not be transferable. Maybe Bonners are able to provide a warranty of their own , if traded?
Btw , I didn’t quite read what Organtax said , the way you did, I thought it meant you’ve sent it back to get it it repaired whatever, not refunded.
Still he’s the only one who knows what he thought happened

.
Hopefully you get it all sorted.
