New Ketron EVENT Keyboard to be announced
This demo of the Event sounds incredible. If you listen carefully, you can hear some sweet Steel Pedal sounds and very punchy drums. Looks to be released in the next few weeks. This is what we all hoped the Pa5 would be.

Need to know more of course... but this should shake things up in the Arranger World I am sure...
What would really Shake things up further (but unlikely) would be if Roland re-enter the TOTL Arranger market following Rolands New Company Ethos theses last few years running trough all there other products ranges and I would imagine Yamaha are not that far from a new releases also...
But good to see as I believe the more Hi-End products we see in this TOTL Arranger category should then keep competing companies on their toes (well we would like to think so) and that is something that has slipped lately which has been evident around this forum and in other places...

Great point. I'd love to see Behringer jump into this space as well. They have done a killer job in the Synth market reviving some legendary synths.D575 wrote:Need to know more of course... but this should shake things up in the Arranger World I am sure...

It should be remembered that we are only talking about recorded audio trucks that are played back, you can specify chords and change tempo, but you can't influence anything else. These are NOT sounds that you can play from the keyboard, or play from a MIDI file.
Sorry 4 my English - I only speak Polish & German & really like my Pa5X

Its similar to a style file playing the bass, chords, and pads; you can't change the underlying style when playing back. The Ketron substitutes the Bass with a recorded bass player, the drums with a recorded drummer (both similar to the Tyros 5/Genos), however, with this new release, you can now introduce recorded Chords to replace the style (midi) pads and a very novel approach of now being able to turn on a recorded SOLO instrument when desired. So you can be playing your backing chords and then have a professional sounding solo play between verses or during a chorus.the_boss81 wrote:It should be remembered that we are only talking about recorded audio trucks that are played back, you can specify chords and change tempo, but you can't influence anything else. This is nothing new and Audio styles have been around for years. Ketron, however, have mastered this technology whereas Yamaha failed and abandoned it. I don't recall Korg ever diving into this technology.

OK, but they are not sounds that you could use live or in a MIDI file. If you play Ketron and use a style with audio or without, the difference is quite big... I compared Pa4X with SD90 some time ago, after 2 days I brought Ketron back to the shop because in my opinion it is boring... but if you like it, please buy it... (some of my colleagues have Ketron and of course I have no problem with it
) and of course I'm not talking about Event as I don't know it.... maybe it's more modern and multi-purpose than the older models. But you don't know Event yet either, but have already decided it would be better than Pa5X - everyone can decide for themselves, but is it too early to judge?
BTW, according to Ketron users there are still problems with SD9, 60 etc. it's still unpredictable, but maybe they'll get a better handle on it at Event.
Best regards

İn sound quality the Ketron is an amazing kb.
Nothing sounds like it.
In edit it’s not that advanced like korg, but playing live, sounds live.
Better guitar sounds and great drum sounds on it. Well programmed styles and more modern for pop
Songs than anything.
I think the team behind is really musicians and I think they are gonna fix the missing parts on it.
We will see manny things soon.
Yamaha is not saying anything, because they will just do it not talk, and I’m sure it will be an amazing unit.

Hello. Here is the Original playlist demos of EVENT in 16 bit/44khz (uncompressed) wav file.
It's an official list and I have company approval for these demos since I'm working for Event for a year as a developer.
This guy on YouTube took them from here and after downloading them made the video.
Thanks
