Digitalization?

To me the biggest disappointment is that they have missed a chance to implement digital features into the device. Why do we have to still tinker around with USB Sticks to transfer files? Why can't there be a wifi chip to connect the pa5x to the mighty internet. The possibilities would be endless and tons of options for Korg to create revenue.

Just think about an "app store" on the keyboard. Download samples, styles, songbooks, texts, voice presets, etc all straight from an app store with a whole ecosystem of musicians offering their products and Korg getting a commission.

This would have been a prefect opportunity to bury all competition and I'm afraid if someone else realizes this potential that Korg becomes the new Nokia.

I don't know if they utilize user focus groups when they develop a new product or not.

Reading some of the comments on this forum leads me to believe they don't. I was hoping for a lot more out of this new arranger.

Perhaps it's just too soon to draw conclusions and we will have to wait and see.

It could be because Korg is intending this keyboard to be used by those who want to create music not a marketplace.

I think the possibility can be implemented easily by just using an UBS to WiFi dongle inserted to one of the USB ports and update the firmware.
