Audio Track Event Edit Help

Long time Triton user here.
I've imported a 1-bar percussion loop named SaySoPerc into Audio Track 01, measure 01 on the Kronos.
Then, using the Repeat Measure edit, I copied the 1-bar loop throughout the length of the entire song. It plays fine.
However, I need the loop to stop on beat 3 every 8th bar. So I go into Audio Event Edit and I see Region 0050: SaySoPerc repeating on every measure as expected:
Measure 008 Beat Tick 01.000 through Measure 008 Beat Tick 04.479.
But when I change the End of measure 08 from Beat Tick 04.479 to 03.000, the End Beat Tick value of every region in that track changes to that same value. So instead of only measure 008 stopping at 03.000, they all stop at 03.000.
Although the change takes effect immediately, this isn't reflected in all the measures visually until I press Done and re-enter Event Edit.
I swear guys, I searched the forum, the manual and YouTube up and down, but somehow, I've missed some fundamental part of how Audio Tracks function in the sequencer.
Why does editing the end of a region in one measure change all of the region copies' end values in other measures? Or am I supposed to create another region with the same .WAV file?
