I would like to purchase the PA4X but I didn’t realize it’s been out for so long.
Do you think if I buy one now instead of waiting for the new PA5X (or whatever they will call it) I would still have a couple of years of enjoyment before it goes obsolete on me? Thank you for your answers!
Help please!

My opinion is never buy something that just came out on the market.
For many reasons, but first of all, cause they aren't tested on stage anyway.
Since you plan to buy an arranger,pa4x had many bugs and problems tillit'w Os was stable somehow.
There are still minor bugs, and some bugs exist since pa50,never fixed or planned to,you have to live with this kind of things you know.
So,there is no reason to buy a new pa5x,since you can get it after one or two years, when it's Os will be more stable and price will be dropped down as usual.
When i got my pa4x, it was just relaxing at home for over one year till i decide it's Os was enough stable to take it on stage.
By the time i first used it,it's price was already 1000less,so be patient.
buy a pa1000 or a pa4x or even a pa800 ,and move on to pa5x or whatever is called next flagship,after 2years it's on the market .

If you want it for live purposes don't wait for next one..
Even if it goes out tomorrow , it ll need 1-2 years till the os is stable enough for in depth usage and live performing...
Pa4x is stable now and has way too many features to cover almost everything..
I can't think of anything more than more insert effects that i would use in a new model except if they change all the effect algorithms to better ones and/or add true audio style support...
Still it ll need its time for the bugs to get ironed out and give a pleasant experience..
I still prefer creating on my pa300 instead of my pa700 as it is more stable when you are editing a style..(pa700 sometimes reboots randomly when you are writing/editing a style and some other random things but it does it veeeeeeeery rarely when playing so it is fine for performing).
I had the pa4x too but i found out that i was using the pa700 more due to the internal speakers so i only kept that...
