Problem after update tp 3.1.0

I just updated from V 2 to V3.1.0
Everything looked fine ....ie Smart new color scheme assigned voices are exactly same as before update however new voices on v3.1.0 do not assign properly for example.....Jazz Cornet 1 DNC , it appears on screen as Cornet Pro1,,,the same problem occurs on all voices assigned,i,e, the voice on screen is always different,
Question is have I done something wrong in the update to V3.1.0 and can this be rectifyed I am puzzled to say the least....help needed

I can not see the same issue on mine.

Are you loading a Keyboard set? Or a sound, is it factory or legacy?

You can't update from V2 toV3.1.
You have to load V2.2 resources before upgrade to V3.1,which is over 2Gb
Did you performed this update?

Hi Leo

As Korg1 says, make sure you fully install v2.x.x (and the factory restore as per the installation instructions) - then install 3.x.x plus, of course, the factory restore.

Everything will line up correctly if you do this.

I have obviously screwed up.in thet I didnt update to V2.2 before V3.1.0

Where can I get V2.2 and do I have to do both updates again....note I am novice at this and need all nthe help \I can get

You just have to have OS 2.x.x where "x" doesn't matter so 2.0.0 is fine and 2.2.0 is fine but the full installation is important - that last "factory restore" step is commonly missed out - but it is in the instruction manual.

At the bottom of the page there's a link "Click here for previous versions" and you'll find 2.2.0 there.

Korg V2.2 Update

I am really sorry to be such a pain in the neck,,,,,but I've got to the link Pa4X Operating System ,2.2 but it wont download for me...nothing Happens...I've tried it on my Apple and my laptop ....what can I do .....Perhaps you could download and send it to me its driving me crazy.

I finally got V2.2 downloaded, and have it on my Keyboard as a File. How do I install it on the OS

Hi Leo

After you download the file (it's a ZIP file) you must unzip it on your PC/Mac
Do not put the zip file on your PA4X

Then you will see several files including a PDF with detailed installation instructions (usually called something like "Pa-Series - Loading the OS.pdf") - follow that step by step and all will be good.
Do not put the zip file on your PA4X as it will serve no purpose.

KORG Update to v 3.10

Pete,
I have followed all the instructions, and It appears the V 3.10 is installed because ut says so when you power up, However I still have the same Problem in that the voices I chose are not coming up., instead an alternative voice comes up....I have done the update a couple of times now and the result is always the same... If I cant resolve this I'll have to revert to V 2.2

Pete,
I domt know if you got my last post....I dont see it on the forum.
Anyway I got all the links working and installed, but the problem persists in that selected voiced dont come up as expected i.e if I select a trumpet it will come up with something else in the trumpet section.
I don't know what to do , so for the moment I have reverted back to V 2.2 such a pity though I was really looking forward to the enhancements.....Have you any ideas what the problem might be.

You MUST follow this step in the instructions - I think this will resolve your problem....
You must do this for 2.2 AND 3.1
