Slaved to Reaper, ignores count in

Is anyone aware if how to get the E2 to obey a count in when Play is pressed from a DAW? I have windows 10 64 bit, Reaper 6.28. This used to work so I don't know what changed. I tested with a keystep and it works, it waits till the count in completes, then behind playing. Not the Electribe...
