I know his must have been discussed before, but i dont see it on the first two pages.

Is there any chance (part of) the nautilus interface with new features like the arpeggiator will come to the Kronos in an update?

Maybe even a paid Update? Combined with a hardware update? Or is that to much wishfull thinking?

Ha ha! Funny, but honest.

The Nautilus arpeggiator looks very similar to what the Triton series had. I don't miss it.

It doesn’t just look similar, it is similar, with a better interface tough

Why don’t you kiss it. Because of Karma? Or because you don’t use arps?

I agree Karma is hugely more advanced, but for simple things, i still think it was much easier to program the Triton arp then karma.. and thats why it would be nice to have both.

I use arps all the time, but usually generated from my Virus or Deepmind synths. Creating Korg arps is kind of a pain, where you have to enter offsets.

What I wish Korg arps would do, is let me play some notes and then let me PUT TRACK TO ARP. The Yamaha Motif and Montage series let you do this.

Nothing beats Montage and Motif where it comes to Arps. So easy to reach results that it boosts your creativity..

I haven't tried the software approach, but I think the future is here for software ARP's:

The interface of the Kronos is really more than painful, the fact is that it lacks a software editor worthy of the name, not just a copy of the touch screen ...

This is exactly why I develop Kronos Vitamins, I wasted too much time on the touch screen and the Midiquest software ...
There is enough to make you lose all inspiration, add to that a Daw and you are dead ...

None of them comes close to the musicality and options of the Yamaha ones.. and best thing, there are 10k of them in the montage.

I'm happy with the interface. I have taken the time to learn how it's structured and how to use it. I can fly through some of the engines now, particularly HD1.

You don't get all that power without complexity.

That said, it would be nice if the Nautilus reskin was made available to Kronos owners. It's a little easier on the eye with the dark theme. I believe it was developed on the Kronos OS anyway, in fact, there are references to the Kronos in the Nautilus owners manual such as "Kronos HW only".

But if Korg do nothing, I'm happy with the OS as it stands.

If someone finds it hard to use they should either 1. learn how to use it or 2. sell their Kronos and buy something they find easier to use.

The author " Mike " takes software ARP seriously. Below is his background.
I haven't seen or heard his 'work'. I think it would help if he linked it.

"Professional Composers, an online magazine and community for music composers, producers and sound designers. This is the place for music creators like yourself, to improve your knowledge, skills and career in music.

My name is Mikael “Mike” Baggström, and I am a music composer, sound designer and artist. I started my journey back in 1998 when I made my first track ever using old school tracker software."

I love Karma and believe it’s incredible for moving textures. If I really required an arp my Akai Force has amazing arps and is connected to my Kronos through USB MIDI. I can use that.
