From the combi mode, when adding a program (aka timbre) to a combi, pull down the menu option to add a program with effects and arpeggios. Note that if you do this for several programs in the same combi, they will share the last-loaded program's effects/arps. Adding multiple programs to combis generally requires the user resolve which effects are used and their routing for the combi.
