I think my Kronos 2 73 Keys is faulty

I bought it on February this year.
Unfortunately, it developed some minor faults where some keys when you press them I can hear something is loose than the rest of the keys. I haven’t pressed the keys really hard or anything to cause this. I am an experienced keyboardist and had a few other keyboards from Yamaha and never had this kind of problem with them. The 2nd problem with my Kronos is, on the display there is a tiny dot which appears to be a dead pixel. It can be seen in dark conditions but not in colours. I tried to contact Korg but they said to get in touch with retailer. I wrote an email where I bought it from and they’re saying nothing is wrong with it.

Here is a link of the problem I have with the lower section C and E key.

I’m not sure what to do as the unit is under warranty and I want it fixed. I might have to take it to the shop I bought it from and make them fix it lol.

Clarify. Did you buy Factory sealed A stock ? From Korg authorized dealer ?

If so, I see it , hear it. defective,

Get it fixed.

If it takes ' forever', press your country distributor for a new
Kronos.

don't wait.

Yes, I bought it brand new from them and it was factory sealed.

Can it just be repaired rather than replacing the whole unit?
Reason being is I saved a lot of sounds and bought new ones and added a 2nd SSD inside. I don’t really want to go through the struggle taking it out and starting again with everything.

I’m waiting for reply from retailer, if no reply I contact Korg again...

I am not a hands on Kronos service expert

You need to back up your data. Cover your work.

If the retailer in your country goes, silent, complain to your country distributor.

I do not have all the details of service centers in your country.

Go to the Korg web site, to see if a service center is nearby. Wouldn't hurt to call them.

Keep your receipts and warranty details.

By virtue of the fact that you opened the Kronos up and modified the configuration (added the second drive), you technically voided the warranty.

You’re likely going to want to remove the second drive before taking it in for service anyway. Carefully back everything up to a USB stick before taking it in - that way you are covered and if they choose to replace it you can get back to where you are now with little effort.

And while you’ve got the cover off, make sure that the second hard drive cable is tucked away and secured properly - I had a similar issue with a couple of noisy keys myself for that very reason.

As far as the dead pixel goes, they are pretty common and most LCD manufacturers have a disclaimer and won’t replace them unless the number exceeds a certain threshold. I haven’t read Korg’s warranty thoroughly, but check for some statement regarding dead pixels as I wouldn’t be surprised if they have such a disclaimer.
