Midi sync with Cubase not working

Hi all. I'm trying to sync my Prologue to my DAW, Cubase 9.5 on an iMac, OS 10.14.6. However, the Prologue doesn't want to respond. I have set the clock source on the Prologue to Auto(Midi) and have set up Cubase to send midi clock messages to the Prologue. My midi monitor program shows that there is a veritable storm of midi clock messages coming from the Prologue, even when Cubase is running. So, currently, I can't use a midi track in Cubase to play the synth.

My Prophet 6 and Nord Electro both respond to midi from Cubase with no problems. Not the Prologue.

Any help is much appreciated.

Couple of things...

Is the Prologue updated to the latest version?
How is the prologue connected? USB, midi cables or both?

Yes, it's using the latest update .. at least as of last February when I bought it. I did, at that time, download the latest update and install it.

The keyboard is connected by midi cable to a Motu Express 128 interface. The interface goes to the iMac via usb. No usb cable connected to the Prologue.

Cheers,

Have you messed around with the "mid thru" setting in Cubase? Try turning midi thru off as a test.

Thanks for the suggestion, RobustAmerican. I turned off midi thru in Cubase but still no joy.

Ok. I got it working. There's a new device in my Midi Studio that I hadn't seen before. It won't connect to my MOTU 128, probably because it's basically meant for usb ... that's my guess anyway. The new prologue device shows up in Cubase and I can send midi to the prologue via usb. Yay!

Glad you got it working. Have fun!
