Just saw this

Sounds like the 01/W is finally coming. I hardly wish the Korg Lecagacy will get a GUI update as well.

Looks like a Keyboard in the shadow in the video hopefully it is a Keyboard and not an app . I wish the iM1 was integrated in the Kronos and not just available as an app .

That's definitely a Korg Triton.
Seems to be a new addition to the Legacy Collection. I'd be happy with that.

A Triton would be cool as well, especially with all expansions including the MOSS board. But the sound of the video reminds me of the 01/W. With a modern GUI and some filters from their modelling expertise, it will become a fresh new synth. Not to mention if they add arpeggiator and newer effects.

Definitely a Triton. Very distinctive inner bevel.
Interesting that they skipped the Trinity.

That and the Solo board are more interesting to me. Always want a Prophecy plugin. I hope they add filters from their newer synths to the Triton plugin.
Hopefully not for ios only:

Hardly wish that they will update the whole - long awaited Korg Legacy. Going to be a fresh new start for 2020.

If this is "just" a Triton, it had better be seriously beefed up in some way. Have MOSS implemented internally in software, along with a KingKORG, along with a bunch - read all - of the expansion roms, along with wave sequencing, along with KARMA, along with more polyphony and better effects, along with a polypressure keyboard.
Well, I really want a Fantom anyway.

I've been waiting for an O1/W in AU format for a bloody decade - and they go and skip that generation of workstation and go straight to the Triton!
The following seem particually challeneging to emulate in software:
SY77/99, VL1, JD800, O1W
There's no sign of them appearing, anywhere. So many other emulaitons - even of the M1, Workstation, JV series, ... - but - none of those three.
I wonder if it's because they were the first with fully featured digital filters but each with their particular 'quirks' perhaps challenging to emulate in software? I can't imagine it, but for whatever reason, these just aren't getting the attention of software releases.
It's similar for the Fairlight, Emulator and LinnDrum. No 'faithful' reproductions. Plenty of "nod" back to them, but none that is a true, complete, faithful reproduciton.

It's a Triton I wonder what they're going to change on it. I still have and use the one I brought in 99'.

I’d be happy with a Triton app for iOS!

Love the character of the synth and would like to see a true successor of it, seems like plugin is the only logical solution.

Own the TG77, but meanwhile I like 2 synths as my imaginary modern version, Dune 3 and Aurora FM. Between those two and the DX7 V, Porta FM, Chipsynth MD and Chiang Mai, got the FM covered. Love Falcon, it is more into the Montage Teritory, while Discovery Pro also do a nice bitey FM like the Nord. But a true SY99 plugin is a dream come true, especially with more gritty 90's waveforms.
Also want a plugin version of the Ensoniq ESQ-1/SQ-80/VFX/SD-1/TS-10/Fizmo. Love Morgana and PulseCode drum machine, the later is using samples from the early 13-bit EPS and Mirage as an expansion.

Hard to imagine the Triton is 20 years old.
I look forward to this. It was a great Workstation.
