It's been 4 years since Kronos 2 and things have gotten mightly quiet around these here parts. Anyone hear any rumors for a new keyboard release in 2019? Anything at NAMM 2019?

look about 20 topics down

" Kronos Replacement Blues"

As expected, since this is a Kronos forum, so our remarks focus on that and/or Korg.

I am interested in what Roland might do.

If you like speculation discussion, there is typically 1 discussion every 2 weeks.

Plus " Latest News " as some chat.

Maybe Roland will re announce a new synth rebirth of the JD-800 but with more voices (128 insted of 24) and more parts in a performance (8 instead 4)...

And in “Midi mode” every performance can keep their original effects setting...

We probably won't get a Kronos replacement since I think it's safe to say Kronos is still King of the workstations but I do strongly believe we will get a new Tuner :D

There is a Volca... there is always a new Volca.
I'm guessing it will be the VolKron, a complete Kronos replacement, twice the power of the current Kronos and fits in your satchel. Only down side is you have to play it with a stylus like a Stylophone.

The new Volca was announced or disclosed in a Korg podcast. The VP of Marketing was there- I think they are promoting a new name in a contest.

The board is not of interest to me, so I am sketchy on details.

So Yamaha did produce cheaper version of Montage and Korg will put more expensive version of Kronos just because we want it 🙄

exactly.

Lets all spin around, make a wish and snap our fingers 3 times and see it come true :D

In a way, I will be glad when NAMM 2019 is over, Actually Day 1 or 2 , the major product announcements are done.

Co's like Korg might do a 10 day teaser countdown. I really dislike this marketing gimmick. Yes, I am old[er].
