Pa4X Change factory drum beat
Hello all. Pa4X, Style "Swing band" in Jazz section style #5. Just wondering if I can change the drum beat? It has a double hit on the snare on beat 4, I want only a single straight beat. Possible? Thanks

Totally possible.
1) Select the Style and press the Record button. Select Record/Edit Current Style
2) Select that particular variation....press the menu button and select Event Edit
Here you can find the offending note(s) and delete it.
Before you save, playback the sequence to make sure everything sounds the way it should. In fact I would just save it to a new user location .

If you need the oiginal version as well and you don't want to erase it, you could do this too :
Create a new CV for example V1cv3 by copying all from V21cv1 to Vicv3.Now erase the snares you don't need. Then ,go to Chords Table and Variation tab and use this CV3 for minor or major chord variations ,while use the original CV1 for others like (8+1) (5+1) dim(M7) etc.
Something else you could do,is this :
export the V1cv1. Edit with a daw.... Remove all channels exept the one which the Drumkit uses. Now edit that channel ,and delete everything exept the second snare(the extra snare hit you wanted to delete in first place). Make sure the channel is 10 ,and save that midi file as drumhit.mid for example.
Now,edit however you like the style....If you delete the snare hit from V1 and resave the style.
You can load the drumhit.mid now in tha pads, and use that second snare hit whenever you wish,so now you have the Variation as you wish, but you can also add the missing snare hit at any time....

Wow, my head hurts reading what you just said. But well done.
As I am only 71 I might just understand when I get older. ha ha
Best wishes
