Proper way of loading folders from a PA4x set?

Hi,

I finally received my Pa1000 and now I am trying to re-use some of the user-sets I have received from a PA4x as well as from my old PA3x sets. Both sets use almost exclusively third-party samples for sound and DKs.

It seems that PA1000 can not load a complete set from other PA models, but suggests that I load individual folders one by one.

First of all, are there any folders in PA4x set that I should not load into PA100?

Also, is there is a proper sequence of loading individual folders, or it doesn't matter.

Finally, do I need to load PCM folder if I load "SOUNDS" folder which might load the PCM content as well?

THanks for you help!

Follow the bellow workflow :
Open Pa4X.SET , click on the following folders and load contents :
1. SOUND ( this will load only the used in SOUND samples and not any remnants)
2. PAD
3. STYLES
Then open folder KEYBOARDSET , and load each one of the existing banks there at Pa1000 User Banks beginning from USER01
for instance Favorite 1 to USER01 , Favorite 2 to USER02 and so on.
- If User.PRF files are more than 9 (as in Pa4X) , then you have to use this SET as direct and manually merge extra KBD SET sounds
in the existing 9 Banks that is the max. limit of Pa1000 KBD SET banks , unlike Pa4X that has 12 KBD SET Banks.

This is the best you can do , since Global settings are not compatible between Pa4X & Pa1000 , and do not load PCM contents
for the reasons described above ...

Hope this helps

Thank you Antony.
That's exactly what I was looking for.
Much appreciated.
