Strumming ac guitar

Post by erwinor »

How can I make my own strumming ac guitar in pa4x?

If I load an ac gtr will I be able to play it using the guitar mode ?

I am assuming you mean in SOUND mode - sadly, no - guitar mode is there to aid the "guitar" realism in style recording mode.
You'll need a Roland Jupiter-80 or other keyboard to do that as a single sound.

Ah OK - then yes you can create some nice "guitar" feels.

Now I am NOT the best person to advise you here as I have only "tested" it but never actually applied it as yet.
I know several others have and hopefully may respond here with some good advice.

Cheers

You can create your own sampled guitar in Sound mode following factory guitars structure and orientation and directly replace
factory guitars in Styles with yours and also create your own strums using automation strumming midi events that are created
using style edit quitar mode like in this older video of one of my commercial resources https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7XTjiWrN2M&t=31s

If you do not have the required knowledge in order to create a custom guitar that can compete Pa4X factory resources
(that are already better than most users made custom guitars) then you can turn to commercial products like
WavesArt Pa4X Guitars Suite where among solo guitars you can find guitar sound ready to replace factory
styles guitars in "Guitar Mode 2".

You've reached the point where I make a suggestion to all who want the type of realism that I believe you're looking for. Dollar for Dollar, you will never find an arranger keyboard (or any keyboard for that matter) which will offer you what is available with a modern laptop, soundcard, and Native Instruments Komplete which includes Strum Acoustics & can be clock sync locked and driven by channel 4 of your PA. The strumming & chord decoding isn't just close to realistic, it is totally realistic even to the trained ear.

If you're interested in this path, drop me a pm & I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have. It will offer you far more than just a strumming guitar.
