Pa4X vs Pa4X ORIENTAL

Good afternoon to all.
I know this subject has been discussed before, but I've found some confussing information here and in other places, so I'd like to confirm which is the right information.
So, what I've understood is Pa4X and Pa4X OR are exactly the same machine, with same resources (styles, voices and so on...). But Oriental version includes more styles and voices (the oriental ones) in user memory.
No oriental resources are exactly the same in both machines.
Am I right? Is there something else to consider?
I'm interested in this subject 'cause in my country (Argentina), OR version is cheaper than normal one, and easier to find.
Another question is which speakers system you woud recomend, 'cause PaAs Speakes system is expensive and hard to find here as well.
Thank you very much for your time reading my post.
Regards,
Daniel

Go for the cheaper, they are same, but the Orientale version has more sounds dedicated to the Orientale music, and you still have all the RAM available (i.e. The extra sounds are stocked in the ROM)
Also, the Orientale version has it's own OS which is available at Korg.com

As laurance said , ( Pa4X Oriental ) = ( Pa4X International + extra Rom samples + extra styles ) ,
so by definition if you have to choose one in the same cost , Oriental is the one way option !

Thank you very much for your comments. I'm sure now. I'll go for the Oriental.
Any suggestion about speakers?
Best regards and thank you again.

Hi Daniel, what sort of speakers are you looking for. Just for monitoring at home or for Live work at gigs?

Stilli,
Mostly for my home, but not specially for monitoring. I'd Just like some options to expensive and hard to find (in my country) PaAs system.
Thank you!

I am thinking to trade, in the future, my Pa4X 61keys International with a Pa4X Oriental 61 keys.
I heard some demo of Pa4X Oriental and I liked the ethnics sounds and styles.
No decision is taken so far but I have a question:
Is it possible to load and play correctly (means functions correctly) a customized SET (done in Pa4X International) into Pa4X Oriental?
Thanks for any info.

Both instruments are loading the same data so yes a set made on STD model will play exactly the same in ORT model!
It even works in the opposite direction too (ORT->STD) if no ORT resources have been used!

Hi Daniel_Arg:
About your request of a good amp, although i have a good PA, i test "a beast", not cheap but really fantastic and small, that you can use at home or on live situations.- The beast is SWR California Blonde II.- Originally this amp was designed for use with accoustic inst, like guitars & voice.- I've test with my Kronos, and blows my head.- Bass sounds are deep and clear, and as is a full range amp, mid and high frequences are well reproduced.-
I test a five years used one, but intact in power and construction.-
As i said it's not cheap, nearly U$S 2000, but it's powefull enough (200 wts), light weight (aprox. 27 kg), and really small (50 x 40 x 30 cm).-
Another option is what i have now, 2 FBT 10' + tweeter (500 wts. rms), and a sub Alto 18' (1000 wts.); in price is nearly the same, but much hardware to move (2 Supports for FBT), more wire (audio and power), and surely more heavy to transport.-
Hopping these helps you.-
With regards.
Eduardo
Hola Daniel_Arg:
Cordialmente
Eduardo

Could you please explain how can I achieve this in my Pa4X international version (
no ORT resources used in my Pa4X)?
Thanks.

Just save the set from pa4x oriental and load it on pa4x international!
if sounds/keyboard sets/styles use oriental only samples/multisamples ,these parts will of course not play in international model..

I had a doubt and I was thinking the same, so the SET (from Pa4X OR) wont load and play correctly in Pa4X standard. That was my question.
Thanks anyway.

If your custom set made on pa4x ORT DOESN'T use any of the ORT exclusive resources it will load and play exactly the same!
