Hello!

Long time lurker here. :)

One week ago I noticed a new red Electribe 2S version on my local Korg dealer's website.

http://www.mcmusic.ro/clape-piane-ro/si ... ator-clone

I have also found it in stock on a french website: http://www.rhapsody.fr/korg-electribe-2 ... ,9421.html

I've posted about this in the Korg Electribe 2 & Sampler Facebook group but it got deleted and then I was kicked out. I didn't ask why. :)

Interesting.
Looks like it also says "Sample" rather than "Oscillator"

The only sane explanation for this is that this weirdo admin guy is in some contact with Korg and feels obliged to delete all that stuff.

This is really sad... Compare this to all those happy Novation Circuit folks :-)
No politics and conspiracy theories there for sure, just good vibes.

This is not properly a fix, but all that grey is so... grey! Really boring to look at. I've never been a fashion victim but I'd like someone to produce some covers to make the E2 a little more appealing...
I quote myself from the petition topic when we collected the feature requests.
Someone (almost) listened to me! Now I should (almost) hope for the other requests...

Anyway, good! Now I hate that grey more than ever...

If I should think to buy a sampler version I would think about this even if the black is not so bad (but always so boringly monochrome).

This is a really really really real good news! Especially for the new features.

(And that blue is already making me reconsider the beauty of the grey! )

It says on that website that, in order to install version 2.0 of the operating system on the sampler, version 1.16 is required. However, the latest update on the Korg site that I can see is version 1.15. Is there a 1.16 out there? Also, I wonder when 2.0 will be made available. Great news, I hope it's legit, as I can't see anything official from Korg about it.

BTW, which Korg site? There has not been any info on the new OS on the main site.

Maybe that's what the mysterious v1.16 was all about? To prepare the machines for version 2?

I know, that's what I said

Edit: If you meant the site I got the info from, I was referring to the French web page that testcheck posted above.

Here's the youtube link from the italian news article. I think it might still be unlisted, so don't worry if the links don't work yet, I don't think it was supposed to be announced yet.

There's also new presets, along with red/blue versions and the 2.0 firmware.

Demos of the new presets.

EDIT: firmware is up. I have an electribe system firmware version 2.02 file.

The link:
http://cdn.korg.com/us/support/download ... AA7HGZGU6Q

Here's a quote from the changelog:
Changes in Ver 2.02 from Ver 1.19
Added Functions
• Added a Chain function that plays multiple patterns in succession.
The pattern parameters “CHAIN TO” and “CHAIN REPEAT” and the global parameter “CHAIN MODE” have
been added.
For details, refer to the latest version of the "electribe sampler Parameter Guide."
Immediately after the software update, the settings will be as follows.

Pattern parameters
CHAIN TO "Off"
CHAIN REPEAT "1"
Global parameters
CHAIN MODE "Off"

• Added an UNDO function.
We have added an UNDO function that cancels the previous operation, such as parameter edit, sequence
recording, or Erase.
To execute UNDO, hold down the shift button and press the < button.
• Added an “Original Value” function that indicates the saved value of the parameters.
• A few minor bugs have been fixed.

This is great news.

Can you set it to infinitely loop between two patterns, effectively making it an 8 bar pattern?

Korg's website has now been updated.

New firmware, presets, and a general rework of the e2/e2s pages to have a lot more info.

I can't update though :/ I don't have the 1.19 firmware (currently on 1.18), and it doesn't seem to be available anymore. Plus I've lost my SD card reader >_<

EDIT: I'm stupid, it's still available. Updating now.
