Would you buy a Kronos X (73) store demo today ?
Hi all,
Would you buy a Kronos X 73 that has been on display in a store since 2012 (so for about 4 years) ?
If so, what would you consider a good discount ?
Problem is, the store in question is much to far to take a ride and see the keyboard. So if this goes forward, it will be a mail order without first seeing the thing... I'm a bit scared...
Any thaughts ?
Thank you for your time!

Without being able to play it, see it, know the condition, which upgrades (if any), there would have to be a very CONSIDERABLE discount for me to consider it. Being on display means everyone from noodlers to kids and their grubby hands have played all over it. It's seen some wear and tear from being moved, setup here and there, etc.
Considering that the Original and X are almost identical, I probably wouldn't pay more than $1600-$1800 if it's stock without upgrades, but that's just me.

Get a price off them first. Look at customer feedback online for the store. Also you need to know the terms of any warranty.
If somebody walked into the shop and the price was right, it would sell very quickly. So I would question why it is still even there.
Personally I wouldn't buy anything that I hadn't played.

I agree with other comments regarding not being able to actually play the keyboard.
With this sort of offer it's imperative to do so.
There may not be anything wrong with it and would be possible to return it,if there was etc,but the risk(gamble) is too high.
The choice is yours,of course...
Best Wishes.

A good deal would have been gone fairly quick.
Plus when I get an instrument of this complexity, I want to spend my time learning, enjoying it vs having the headache and time wasted with warranty issues, etc
