Sync monotron delay to volca beats

Post by Mickmike »

Just got hold of a monotron delay. Frigging love it. Straight away bought volca beats!. How can I sync them together, or is just a volca thing. I'm a new convert, and they're going on my kitchen table, next to my worn in seat, for some astronaut beats. Thanka

Purely by ear buddy.
The delay is best when jammed and tweaked anyway.
Get use to riding that baby.Be free ,just when you've got it sounding nice, then push it off into other noise fest cascades of feedback.Change the speed ,filter and feedback to places that sound "right" naturally.Often pitch is more leading in where you stop ,when playing live, if you decide to tweak mid track.
There is no sync on little Monotrons. But if about to record, set delay time with a higher feedback, dropping oneshot drums into it and just trying to Match with bpm, dj style, by adjusting delay time slightly. Then back off feedback before hitting record. Maybe :?:

Yeah - they don't sync as such, but you can you use the delay as effects. I assume you tried this, but in case not...

Connect the 3.5mm audio out of the beats to the audio in of the delay. one half of the knobs will now add effects to the beats coming in while the other half will effect whatever you play on the monotron.

At this point you just need to play the monotron in time, while adding filters to the beats as required.... It's a lot of fun :)
