Guys,
Hoping you could point me the right way. Any must have EXs for pads? Also, are there combis/patch banks available which cater mostly to widely used CCM sounds?
Thanks!

EXi are sound engines in the Kronos (MOD-7, AL-1, PolySix, etc.) You don't buy them; they are already in there. I don't know if you have a Kronos. There are a lot of good pads in there and you can search for them by Category, both in Program and Combi mode.
There are more sounds at the
Korg shop and also on
Qui Robinez' website. Click on "Free sounds," as there is "Angels Choir" and other things there.

I have a Kronos:) Shifting from a software rig to a hybrid one. seen the Korg shop. Looking for opinions for ready made pad sounds to use for Jesus Culture, Hillsong, etc. I could probably program them. Just looking for options.

The Polysix Pad in the Kronos is very subtle and useable plus you can tweak it to your liking, just check the Pads and i am sure you will find something you like.

When I got my Kronos I was moving away from a laptop/VST system to hardware. In my computer I had Omnisphere which has some outstanding pads and much more. There were about 5 sounds from Omnisphere I felt I just had to have and I ended up sampling them into the Kronos.
Omnisphere is used by a lot of musicians and you could get a copy, sample sounds from it to the Kronos, or even run a laptop from the Kronos and have the whole library. I play in Church and use a lot of pads as well.
Good luck!
Geo

I am out of country at moment but will be let you know this weekend. I have bought some libraries specifically with Hillsong JC etc in mind. Will let you know. Other possibilities are getting Mainstage patches from Multitracks.com of those artists and using the wave files with Sample Robot or just sample those patches or Omnisphere into Kronos. Done all of the above.

Hello
When you find your way to the site ---shop.korg.com ---
please take a look and get familiar with my sound libraries :
Ocean Pads – only the pad sounds
http://shop.korg.com/Kronos/EXS-112
Protein No.1 - pads – but not only + 32 combis
http://shop.korg.com/Kronos/EXS-110
Earth - pads – and much more
http://shop.korg.com/Kronos/EXS-111
Installation of demo version does not cost anything – so you can easily check out yourself what’s in there and feel how it sounds on your machine.
Greetings

Ok, Back home now. I checked a similar post I made on OMNISPHERE WORSHIP SOUNDS newsgroup. My often used factory patches I have worked with or modified are Analogue Strings, Legato strings, Warm Legato Strings, Super Hero Workout, Padus Maximus, Golden Synth Pad, Smooth Strings, New Orchestral. But answering your question, Great Libraries I bought specifically for the worship sounds you mentioned are Kid Nepro Vintage SynthsEXS80 and Kapro Vintage Synth Explorer EXS65, for HSong Y+F Korg KRS03 Nu Electro. And , yes turn off Karma on some patches, youll hear different basic sound that might be useful

So, ol' buddy ol' pal, I finally made good on my word to buy this one and bought it today

I demo'd it awhile back so it was just a matter of time

keep doing sounds like these, you're helping my studio work a lot

and earning a bit of cash in the process
