Finger Snaps
Hi all, I have tried to find finger snaps in the drum kits but I could not find them. If any one uses any could they pass the location on. I have searched for a few hours and only found one in Urban Hip Hop Kit on B1 but it sounds terrible. I need realistic snaps. Thanks
Marc

Re: Finger Snaps
I'm not near my board, but try Original Percussion down in bass notes somewhere. I believe it's an E flat.marcdeben wrote:Hi all, I have tried to find finger snaps in the drum kits but I could not find them. If any one uses any could they pass the location on. Re: Finger Snaps
The Voice Name List can be your friend here: I just tried a search for "finger snap" and immediately found several locations, including the one that keven pointed you to. Much easier than calling up drum kits and listening to every single key.marcdeben wrote:Hi all, I have tried to find finger snaps in the drum kits but I could not find them. I'm not talking about the keyboard. I'm talking about the PDF Voice Name List document. It lists every sound, every program, every sample, every drum kit assignment, every combi, etc.

You're absolutely right. I'm going to have to download them again since I've got a new computer. My old one had a slow and quite painful death.StephenKay wrote:Not that I know of - nor is some other stuff from the PDF versions of the manuals. It'd good to reference those as well from time to time.jeremykeys wrote:Is this list also in the Kronos help file?
I upgraded to Windows 10 and didn't know my Kaspersky anti-virus had been disabled. Massive incompatibility issues. Before I knew it, it was so infected with Trojans, spy ware, viruses, worms, tape worms, T.B., Black Plague and worse. It was cheaper and easier to just buy another one. My wife's an I.T. person worked on it for 2 weeks and finally said, F$%k it! Get another and don't upgrade to Windows 10!

I realize I'm late to this thread, but I never tried the Search, until tonight. Damn cool! And, you can search for samples.... right on the Kronos! Stephen has the obvious answer, but if you are at a gig or away from the computer, it's okay.
It is doubtful that you would find a multisample of finger snaps. That is a single percussion sample. You have to be in a Global drum kit to see percussion samples. Programs and wave sequences don't access factory drum kit samples (which has always bugged me). Because of this, I implore users to check out the drum kit samples, as there is some great stuff there, like exotic whistles, shakers and other things.
Go to GLOBAL - DRUM KIT mode. On the page where you assign a drum sample to a key, tap on the arrow next to the drum sample, to bring up the List. The ROM, EXs1, and other sample banks each have their own list. There is one fingersnap in ROM and four more in the EXs5 bank.
Anyway, nice feature!

Yes, wrong area. For a multisample search, go to the OSC/PITCH page and next to one of the multisamples, tap the arrow next to it to put it in List mode. Next to the list, you will see the search icon.marcdeben wrote:When i searched finger snaps in program mode, nothing comes up. I must be in the wrong search area?
