NRPN table for Kronos

Post by sw_hunt »

Is there one? There must be because people can make editors that can access all parameters of the Kronos - but I can't find the info anywhere! Please help

Found this old post with no answer.

As far as I can tell, the Kronos doesn't use NRPN but rather uses SysEx. This makes sense because SysEx can hold larger numbers. You can see this by running the MIDI-OX utility and then changing parameters on the Kronos to see what is sent. The Kronos obviously has a lot of parameters and I don't know that the SysEx parameter numbers are documented anywhere.
Korg Kronos 61, DSS-1, EX-8000
VAX77; John Bowen Solaris; Yamaha S90ES, TX81Z; Hammond XK3c; Kurzweil K2000S, PC88mx; Minimoog (orig)

True, the MIDI System Exclusive messages should be used to transfer parameters back/from the Kronos. The documentation can be found on the DVDs that come with the Kronos.
