Hello All,
I wonder if you may be able to advise me.
I have recently purchased a korg i3 which has a floppydrive 34 pin variety. I have also fitted a floppy usb emulator made by Gotek.
http://www.ebay.com/bhp/usb-floppy-emulator.

When I try and use the so called compatible drive I get an error message "no disk in drive".

Of course I'm not asking for support on their product, but I'd would like to know the following :-
Can anyone recommend an emulator that does not cost the earth. The keyboard was only £120

How does the floppy in the i3 differ from a standard ibm pc floppy so I can adapt the Gotek.

Could I achieve backup using midi an system ex dumps or something similar.

Thanks for any advice

Hi Tony

I install the USB-Floppy drive in my Korg KARMA keyboard and my Yamaha QY700 sequencer and the both worked perfectly.
You can get them on e-bay - I can't remember where I bought mine but they were both about $30 each with software for building the USB drive.

Cheers

Hi all I have the emulator working... with one small exception . I have only 1 got of 3 virtual floppies working but that still leave me with 30 virtual floppies on 1 memory stick :)

You should have 100 virtual floppy disks 00-99.

Is that now working for you?
