How can I enable the Direct Access Feature on PA4x

Post by byme88 »

I installed both Micro SD Card and USB but the Direct Access Tab is greyed out!!! Can anyone one show me how do I enable it so the styles on the Micro SD and USB can be access directly to play without having to load to the system?
Thanks!

This certainly is a good thing, page 921... and its not even the last page... Documentation of Korg products certainly is comprehensive...

Thanks for the help!
So the styles in the new SET folder to be directly access have to be with .SET extension format!

I have hundreds of styles with .STY extension that to be converted to .SET format...

Does anyone know how to do this faster than having to load on the keyboard then save it to the USB?

For ex: is there any software that can do this in bulk?
Thanks again for you help!

byme88,

The .set extension means a reserved folder containing the full content of the Pa4X's memory. This is created each time you save the ALL folder from the internal memory.

So, you simply have to select a .set folder containing the Styles you want to make your Direct Styles. You can also load all the Styles you want to collect from different .set folders, then save them as a new .set folder that you will use as a Direct Style folder.

All these operations are detailed in the "File Management" part of the User Manual.
