I was planning on it once the second batch is out and more people have one to contribute ideas to this thread. I already have some Tips and Tricks docs for the MC505, Machinedrum, and Command Stations, I figured it was time for a new one

Probably best to wait for the new OS update before the update... at least then we might have new add ons (hopefully) rather than making one know knowing it will be outdated in a month's time (again, hopefully)
I'm pretty sure if the new update comes and there's still significant hiccups i'm going to seriously consider selling it. will be best to do so fast before the hype is over.
Bend it like Tarekith

I have a wobbly EMX2 also! I'm going to give it the table treatment later ...

Feeling like I missed a business opportunity, I could be fixing wobbles for a slight fee. LOL.

Mine stopped wobbling by itself, I supose just because of using it and drumming on it. Maybe you just need to wait a little...

If your electribe is wobbling, check the mod section to see if the triangle LFO is routed to the zinc case.

Back on topic
- To check which filter is in use just click another filter type (LPF->BPF ->LPF) and go back to your original filter type
- Most of the synth sounds go to plus minus octave when you turn the pitch knob to +/- 48
- it is obvious, that a few filters types (MS20, P5) have lower volume levels compared to others
it's because they do self resonance
- if you need an extra chorus while using the double/octave synth sounds and you don't use the modulation part then just turn on a LFO with depth 10-15 and you'd get a chorus effect (The trick is to set up the oscillator edit knob properly usually 64) . In general a unused modulation with a synth sound can serve as another effect
- in many cases .. A filter type MS20 BPF gives you an extra boost if you need an extra volume thus saving insert effect

Hello all. Just got an EMX2 a couple of days ago. Have been in a trance ever since! Some great stuff here and I've printed out the shortcut sheet and written all over it with notes from this forum to help me learn fast... might even do a massive dense A4 crib sheet if anyone's up for it...
Anyway, one thing I discovered today was when recording a part by playing it, I went into CLEAR SEQUENCE mode (shift + 14), pressed ENTER and it said 'OK'. I forgot about it, and tried the riff again but failed to record it right, and tried pressing ENTER again and it erased the take again. Sweet. Now I can pretend I can play pads well!

in fact after you select and confirm clear sequencer, you can even go across the parts and keep hitting enter and it will clear each part. No need to press Shift+14 again. I believe this is, so far, the fastest way to clear a pattern that you're currently in.

Works for Part Copy too

indeed pretty much for most menu options. Its a handy feature that Korg put in that limits the need to keep using shortcuts or menu diving if you're using the same function multiple times.

Without being picky, surely the fastest way to clear a pattern you are in is to use Initialise Pattern from the Data Utility menu?

Sure, thats one way to do it if you want a completely blank state. But also keep in mind that will give you the Korg default, so you will have to go out of poly mode if you dont want that setting as well as others. But if you're in your pattern and just want to clear the sequences and not the patches, then use shift+14 across the board. Both are fast methods, depending on what you want.
