Just been browsing the Korg Japan web site.

It won't be the release of the V.2.0 Kronos Editor either...

"Added August 30, 2012: Release of Editor / Plug-in Editor Version 2.0 only KRONOS X / KRONOS was changed to mid-September. I am sorry, please understand that effect."

Well, it is a very simple guess. Koronos LE or Kronos with less features i.e no karma, etc...

Would KORG run a live event with the title "Major Announcement" for a cabinet?
I think when you throw the new OS for the Pa3X on the back of this, it's a maybe.

The OS update is expected to contain a lot of new styles, sounds and function.

With both the m50 and microstation discontinued (barring unsold residual stock) my money is is on a multi synth launch. It could be quite exciting news but having just bought my m50 i'm hoping its not TOO exciting :)

One thing I very much doubt it will be is anything to do with arranger keyboards. That is ALL controlled by Korg Italy, not Korg USA.

Here it is! 8)
So it really is a more "affordable" Kronos! I really love the blue-lit light in the 'R' of KORG on the back!

Just one engine. More of a Triton on steroids rather than a Kronos Light.

Am I the only one that saw the piano roll editor on the krome?
