What I have read
it can also run Digital part through analog filter or even mix it with analog osc.
So Supersaw waves through analog filter
look at Ring Mod in Analog Osc 1 not only to use Analog Osc 2 but also via Aux Digital part,Noise or mic
I not 100 % sure but that Analog filter will have 3 lowpassfilter types
1.is the Classic Roland filter
2.transistor ladder MOOG-type Lowpass filter
3.and new special lowpassfilter
it also have Highpass filter before multimode filter and Drive
I highly doubt this, because with each A/d and each d/a conversion you loose soundquallity...
But i guess we will know the answer at The Muiskmesse..
I will be there to.. Like i am every other year.. Its a day well spent.
FutureMusic has been to a demo of it
They also say Digtal part can go through analog filter

Seems my assumption was wrong, i think this synth could be a real innovation... Maybe even use the physical models of the natural acoustic sounds on the synth sounds. ( tough i guess that would be to much to ask for)

If i remember well, the V-Synth since the very first model is able to do something like that. Am I wrong?

No, but it has only 4 models...but its what sets the V-synth above the pack.. And makes it my favourite synth of the 21st century

Well, implementing that stuff in this new spaceship-like synth would have made it surely more interesting than not.
I can not see Roland's point about not including some of these cool algorithms on the new toy... It would have been veeery close to the ultimate synth!
An analog path for the classic synthesis we all need and a digital path featuring all the V-Synthish extremely cool stuff... BUT, we're talking about Roland, so it's obvious we have a Virtual Analog beside the real analog in the same machine. Bah...

Sounds like this might be a promising synth. I'm guessing it will be seriously expensive.

Not necessarily, hardware parts have become quite affordable over the years..
There are 2 other things wondering me however....
/Will it have an ipad app to controll the synth, like the Integra 7?
/Will it support the plugout synths of the aira line?
Both would be very welcome..

JD-XA is more like Rolands version of Korg Radias
it has
4 parts analog that can be 1 polysynth i think 4 voice poly if it has 8 it cost alot
4 parts digital synth is the 3 osc-3 filter-3 Amp VA-synth with pcm knowen from Jupiter 80
1 drum-part
and a Vocoder
It looks and sound to me like roland-version of Radias
it has usb for more sounds(it can be seen on Pictures) maybe it also can be used for Ipad

Well atleast now we know that it can actually produce sounds..

That was terrible. Small farm animals make more interesting flatulence sounds.

The pricing indicates (incl 21% btw). Isn't that the tax/vat/btw ? Does that mean it could be 21% less in the USA, approx $1699.00 USD ? Oh well, we'll all know in a few days.
