I'm wondering where you got this information? It makes me wonder about the price of a 73 key Kronos 2.

plus they are not projected to be available until January( at Sweetwater)

If there is strong order demand , allocation will kick in , and some buyers will have to wait longer.

Musicians Friend has them listed as expected to ship on 12-14-2014 but the keyword here is expected.

Let's have some fun with that date by Mf

Today is the 11/15. The K2 in quantity, would have to be sitting at customs at the port of LA. It will need to clear customs, loaded in a container, trucked to upstate NY, unloaded, inspected, counted into inventory, prepped for shipment to various retailers, paperwork created, etc, etc.

Then they are likely shipped to a central location of MF. Which might take another week.

So I am skeptical that the K2 is sitting in LA in quantity today. I would guess, at best, some are being prepped, for container loading in Japan or whatever country where they are assembled, boxed up. Or maybe not .

I'm definitely being sarcastic about Musician's Friend's release date. I wouldn't be surprised if the new Kronos model doesn't start shipping until February but then again who knows for sure? It is very cool that Korg is offering the new OS version free of charge to all Kronos owners and I will be glad to pay for the Berlin Piano. Obviously any original Kronos owner should at the very least get the extra GB of RAM installed on their Kronos and really the extra SSD would be a good move as well if you want that piano on your Kronos.
