If you are a piano oriented player, I would prefer the Kronos without question. If your main purpose is sound design and exploring new synth sounds, than you may consider to look for a second-hand Oasys in good condition for a low price (much lower than the Kronos), because the user interface with its large and tiltable touchscreen, the LED collars which always show you the actual parameter values and the better and larger faders, knobs and switches, etc. are much better suited for excessive sound design than the Kronos. On the other hand, you can program the Kronos via your computer and you have DAW integration. The Kronos is a lightweight compared to the Oasys and smaller, but it has plastic instead of metal side panels like the Oasys, whose design I prefer to the cheaper Kronos design, which is of course a question of personal taste. You will have support and warranty for the Kronos. And despite of my own very good experience, you could have bad luck with a second-hand purchase of an Oasys and experience unexpected failures with the switches, tilt screen, keys, HD or power supply, so therefore a second-hand purchase might be a risk.kandarv wrote:...So what do you think, get an old Oasys or wait for a Kronos?
Reading my own words, I tend to finally recommend the Kronos...
