This song was written and performed before most of you were born :)

This is my cover of a great Marvin Gaye ( 1 of 3 authors) song from 1971,
Whats Going On.

I approached the cover as a 2 part project. “ Part A” followed by a “Part B “

“A” was approached as a complex studio recording of the single.
Marvin was a creative/talented musician. He rewrote the the book on studio
recording in 1970-71. I actually simplified “ A” since it had so
many different parts.

“ B “ is the opposite- an organic live performance

I greatly enjoyed this soul music song project with a 1971 social message that rings true today.

Hi,
My music is not that acoustic as many of you have posted, but this tune is more of an electronic genre :)
Since i love norwegian "Røyksopp" i made this small tune. Most of it is the Kronos (karma sound, lead, synthbass, piano) sampled and prosessed in an Akai mpc touch. Drums are not kronos

Here is my latest original. Its inspired by my 2 cats. :)

So its not metal progressive, or EDM or symphonic rock.

An upbeat melodic instrumental, 100% Kronos.

I loved your musical piece, Greg.

We have two Norwegian Forest cats. One of them looks a bit like the one in the picture you used for this song.

It might be a cover, but, as with all of my recordings, every single thing was done on a Kronos.

Thank you ! Your 2 cats are beautiful. You are right, my girl Ripley, and your 2 cats have similar coloring and face.

With my instrumental, I attempted to convey the playfulness and the changing moods of your faithful friends.

Hello everyone! I just remixed a song for a contest using my Kronos X! The two main synths you'll hear come from the Kronos: one factory preset and one tweaked by me. Of course lots of "dirty" MIDI work was done by using the Kronos as a controller too. Hope you enjoy it!

Thank you for your time!

I think some enjoy movie sound tracks. This one, Body Heat, a movie from 1981 has been on my music bucket list for some time.

https://soundcloud.com/user-898236994/body-heat-104wav

The mood is sinister and this crime film was popular back then.

The music score was originally 1 hour so I constructed, created, recorded the
key parts to stay under 9 minutes.

While adding the creative twists to heighten the sinister and haunting
mood of this great film.

Drums and bass are inaudible on the 1981 movie soundtrack. I created all the
new parts since I felt the sound track would benefit from modern instruments.

There are several stops, transitions, different drum kits, in my version.

My idea was to condense the original sound track while maintaining the original
mood.

Kronos was used 100% for my version.

Thanks for listening. Body Heat was a 3 week project , start to finish.
An hour or 2 each day. I am using up all midi tracks and maxing polyphony.

Enjoyed your song. Like how you worked in the layered piano part into the EDM ( ? or techno ) rhythm beat. Being a piano person, I would have mixed it with less drum volume and give the piano more space in the verse.

But I noticed with most mixes these days, drums are the loudest part.
And keys often sit further back.
