One week to go for this almighty firmware update that sorts out all the issues. Can't wait to hear the cheers coming from this forum when the firmware gets released.

Hi I got my new electribe yesterday and I'm very impressed Korg have done well.
My only niggles so far are 4 bar limit and too many menus but overall Wow what a top little peace of gear!

Haha, he could've known the 4 bar limit before buying though. I complain about the things I didn't and couldn't know when buying.

Got a question though; what do you think will motivate Korg to build a better product?

1: People spending their money mindlessly on half baked Korg stuff
2: People not buying Korg stuff until Korg releases a decent product/firmware

Until Korg sort this mess out I will continue to advice people to avoid this product until it is done.

If necessary I can repost this port in full caps.

And maybe it is because I am in Europe, but I care about getting a finished product when I spend $500 on something. Maybe it is normal in other parts of the world to buy a broken product and then keep it on your desk until a firmware update fixes you problems?

I rather return it for my money back. This is a language companies speak and understand much better than complaining via email or opening support tickets and giving them your money.

But maybe people on here just have too much money, if so please help me complete my Elektron set

I was actually aware of the 4 bar limit which can be worked around!
If the sampler is basically the same unit but allows you to load your own samples then I will have one of those two thank you very much Korg!
In times where software seems king I am happy to get away from a PC.
I use NI Maschine too which is much better now I've installed an ssd in my laptop giving me a 5 second boot up but I've had every electribe since day one so I guess I rather like them and try to focus on the positive!
Thanks Korg but please do a little update to iron things out;))

Ya'll have fun at my expense. Enjoy it while it lasts. I've received my DSP for dummies book today and will be designing and building my own DSP.

When you make your own Dutchcow branded groove box, with all the features lacking in others, hit me up, I'll be first in the queue.

of course people are going to love the box the first day or 2 or up until that time when they actually dig deeper and realize the box is severely handicapped. By all accounts these are great sounding machines. Plug them in for the first time and start messing about and the initial impression is surely impressive.

Not always the case. For me it was the reverse. The more I've used it the more I've enjoyed it. Of course, not dismissing the handicaps, glitches, and other what nots that are wrong with the electribe...
