Facebook sucks. There's no way to even report piracy. I've had to report the group as fraud / spam and all I get is a message saying thank you for helping to improve the site. You don't even get the option to explain for what reasons your reporting it. It's just a tick box you can click. Nothing else.

Useless.

I type Piracy into the help search and it displays how to set your privacy.

Btw, I found that several of my personal friends on FB have him also as friend. I can send them a notice, but maybe it's best to send everybody on his list a notice of warning.
What do you think of it? Actually, I don't have anything on his FB page, but since PCG Tools is relying on PCG files I don't want them to be abused. All PCG files I downloaded or received I keep for myself for testing purposes only.

Listen, I'm not defending this fuckbook site because I understand how you feel, but,
One thing I learned long ago was, anything I put on the internet is now public domain. If you upload a song for demo on some site somewhere, it's always gonna end up on some stupid free ringtone or MP3 download site. You won't even be able to keep up on how many will sprout. If you upload a file somewhere on a public domain site, it's gonna end up on another public domain site for download, or even sites like this where people want to make their own rules. The law doesn't protect Piracy in public domain because according to law there is nothing in public domain that would fall under Piracy or "Protected Content". Blame 9-11 for those laws. The powers that be can't even take down completely illegal torrent or movie sites that openly advertise their piracy, and no one will invest in "Hey I didn't get credit for that!" The law unfortunately isn't always moral or even capable. How many expensive VST's do you think are on peoples Kronos systems that don't own the VST. Open systems are a magnet for everything they can suck up. The internet is an open system, Sound is an open system, Public forums are an open system. Sample players are open. You can get all the kronos sounds for Kontakt or whatever you use if you want.
I've had other people take credit for my music, artwork and programming Ideas. It pisses me off too. You can force their hand into admitting ownership or authoring but after a while your learning you have to fight too much. This is just my opinion but I won't upload anything I care about getting recognition for anymore. It's just not with it.
Keep what you value, Upload because you know it's going to be shared. I hope you get my drift.

No, "free stuff" does not mean you can do anything with it.

What is not normal is to get someone's job and forget to mention author and sources.

A LGPL licence or similar could solve this kind of abuse.

His alternate name "Ron Maastricht" is kind of a giveaway since that's a city in our Southernmost province. He doesn't really seem bent on hiding.

On Facebook, one can report copyright issues by selecting "Report a problem" (upper right menu where you can also log out) -> Abusive Content -> Intellectual Property Issues -> Copyright -> Reporting Copyright Infringements

I don't know if that could help but in case you didn't know...only the copyright owners themselves can use this option.

I have had facebook contact with him again today after a long time.

There seems to be no intention of changing his policy so he removed himself from the PCG Tools facebook group himself.

hi dudes well this is a total wrong vision that mr Micael keizers try to do - while he is just piss off that he dont seemsto understand wat the concept is in ore SOUND SHARE club groep .. !! the name already says it .we are a SMALL prive sound share club - with a handfull motif en korg players we create full mode sound sets together thats make it unieque to create not only voice mode patches but also multi section patterns - performance / combi mode drum kits arpeggio's etc etc and we share these only with players who did help made these unique sound sets so these are full self made by the group members - so while these sound sets ar susch high qualtiand pro soundings is why we build this together !! !! so becoas of that we get every year about 200 request from synth players to can join the private group - only for one reason to can DOWNLOAD the hard work full mode sound sets we made - so we ask when like to join this club -before we give access on the group - what the request person have to SHARE on SELF MADE and if they have read the simple grouprules and understand the concept of this SOUND SHARE CLUB ??

WELL if we must believe motifator ?? yes i do have buy several sound sets on motifator { low quality ] ps these motifator sound sets are mostly just voice mode sounds sets that cost lots of $$$ money ok so when i have buy a sound set from motifator they say i can not use or edit these sound sets on my synth to make with lets say a voice patch sound from the sound set i like to use to edit change record in song - pattern mode - to create a new full mode sound set and make a music file or even complete band - artists motif sound sets in a all file extencion XOA and share on my motif friends i mean thats the point on a synthesizer to change - edit - design - create your own sounds and to make MUSIC - ok and also with the original factory sound presets or any other new commercial sounds that are avaible to get the max out the synth -so thats why we work together creating more and new sound sets and we only SHARE THESE on real sound share club members - ITSNOT wat motifator say and acuse us on we do not share any standzard commercial sound sets we create music files sound sets and do not shaRE illigal sound sets from motifator shops - the only reason while they acuse us is that we have a total sound set collection list with aswel selfmade and also commercial sound sets list on a pdf - that does not mean that we share tis open on others its just a list of or private all sound sets pdf - so we have also lots of motifator forum guest member visitors who are pissed of that we are just music files makers and thats why we buy a pro music synth workstation like a yamaha motif - korg kronos not to make only pictures of it grts and grow up you guys have such big ego's and show of on profiles with lots of gear studio- live players sound engineer high sholled musicians jejejejej but 98% have non music made or have any liks from all the bla bal egeo tripping again we make music thats the hole point when have a multi $$$$ pro synth workstation grts have fun guys !! so who can create susch sound sets like this ?? yes only when work together >> have fun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQF4YpW ... w6&index=1
