thank you CharlieCharlie wrote:So, finally I took the time to go through this "monster" library. It's a huge collection!![]()
Programs: like KPS it offers not only classical strings but all types of synthpad stringsounds (like matrix, obx etc.). In addition I got dual-sounds (eg. piano + pad) and quite often the pad-volume will be controlled separately by the footcontroller - very handy! Tons of woodwinds and brass. Esp. enjoyed the flutes here and the saxes - however, this part uses the exs3-samples, if I understood that correctly. In short: huge + usefull esp. for scoring.
Combinations: WOW!!!These are so cool! Rich, warm, realistic - tremendous string-combis. Chamber, Marcato, Split (try U-A085 Illuminati - could have played that all day long!), some using Karma nicely. Nice orchestras, sax-splits. Huge Brass-ensembles. Fine horns. I liked some of the pad-chords a lot - great for jamming! Great pad string combis, synth-pad-combis, some again nicely karmafied. In the air was back again!
All in all a great library from Karo. Esp. for people who haven't bought KPS yet. For those who have there's an upgrade offer - and it's worth the money. However, you'll need Korg's EXs3 as well to use it to its full extent. Thank you Karo for this piece of work!
