Dear KARO -

Thanks a million for this update. I for one genuinely appreciate your effort here - kudos to you for you doing this.

I can't wait to receive the new update - the Fender Rhodes samples are absolutely wonderful and I'm looking forward to these new programs exploiting them.

In my email to you I mentione I'd be happy to pay for this update. I genuinely always want to support the music technology 'business' especially for companies around the size of Karo; so I'm speaking for myself only of course when I say that I'd be happy to pay for updates in the future - if it keeps you in business then its good for all of us - but thanks most sincerely for this free update - really appreciate it.

Happy Christmas and a successful new year to all at KARO.

Kevin.

KARO please update KGP1 for Acoustic Piano

Post by marvelous88s »

The programming and layering are not up to the same quality as your superb samples.

I raised this issue over a year ago directly with Karo but to no avail. I really had hoped that by now they would have updated the programming for a more even repsonse and overall more pleasurable playing and recording experience.

I haven't used it since and would probably pay something for a better performance update rather than letting it go to waste. It really should have had more detailed work done before being released.

Regards,

Marv

So, finally I took the time to go through this "monster" library. It's a huge collection! 8)

Programs: like KPS it offers not only classical strings but all types of synthpad stringsounds (like matrix, obx etc.). In addition I got dual-sounds (eg. piano + pad) and quite often the pad-volume will be controlled separately by the footcontroller - very handy! Tons of woodwinds and brass. Esp. enjoyed the flutes here and the saxes - however, this part uses the exs3-samples, if I understood that correctly. In short: huge + usefull esp. for scoring.

Combinations: WOW!!! These are so cool! Rich, warm, realistic - tremendous string-combis. Chamber, Marcato, Split (try U-A085 Illuminati - could have played that all day long!), some using Karma nicely. Nice orchestras, sax-splits. Huge Brass-ensembles. Fine horns. I liked some of the pad-chords a lot - great for jamming! Great pad string combis, synth-pad-combis, some again nicely karmafied. In the air was back again! ;-)

All in all a great library from Karo. Esp. for people who haven't bought KPS yet. For those who have there's an upgrade offer - and it's worth the money. However, you'll need Korg's EXs3 as well to use it to its full extent. Thank you Karo for this piece of work! \:D/

Thank you once more guys for your reviews!

This Karo title is a must have for the OASYS community, IMHO.
Now its time for some of us who are long ago broke to save up to be able to get it ASAP, as well as James´ tilte, another must have for every OASYS owner. :-D

Correct Jame... err I mean Sharp.

Sorry Charlie If I wanst clear enough,
I supposed everybody would suspect what other OASYS library not coming from Karo I was refering to.

And by the way, I dont want to hijack this thread but, in case any of you dont know this library yet, I recomend every OASYS user to sneak the link.
Its another exclusive OASYS library, and worths every cent it cost IMHO.
Regards.

Got Assault back then as soon as it was available. Cool library indeed! 8)
What IMHO really diminishes the value of all libraries is the inability to load separate sounds/combis with just the samples needed. I'd love to compile my personal "best of" of all the libraries I own - but that's impossible or at least LOTS of work.
