What keyboard stand For your Kronos do you use mine broke!

Hi,
I´m using a H&K when playing with 2 keyboards (Motif es 8 and Oasys on top), which is super solid

When playing only the Oasys I use a rotary custom made stand by Patrick Slaats made out of a truss like JR´s one, which is also a solid stand.
I used a lot of stands, f.e. Ultimate etc, but when you are playing on a stage that is not very stable the H & K will do a good job (even if it looks not so good).
hope that helps
best regards

Sorry about the first picture. I oopsed! Just the other day I built a rotating top for my X stand. I bought a 7 inch lazy susan ring from Lee Valley tools. $7. I used 2 peices of lamintated 1/2 inch plywood, 2 49 1/2 inch 1 inch box aluminum and some other pieces of angle aluminum. I covered the angles in 1/4 inch high density foam and voila! The cables drop through the hole in the center. It works amazingly well.
It attaches with 2 16 inch pieces that clamp onto the top bars of the stand.

Just I case anybody is curios, the silver keyboard covered in papers with the blank artists canvas in front of it is my old Triton Pro X. Above it is my old Polysix. To the right is a Roland U-20 nod below that is my Wavestation EX. The empty place is where my Kronos sits. The case on it's end has my Kronos in it. The small part of the painting that you can see is one of my wife's works.jeremykeys wrote:

She paints a lot and is very good!
The guitars are basically just chunks of wood with wires stretched on them!

Not to worry. I doubt that I'll ever go all the way around with it.

I'm using a Spider Pro at the moment....
My only complaint with it is that it is feckin' heavy.

Oh, there is a keyboard player. I'm sorry. I only noticed a blonde female singer.
My bad!

Lol!! That's the idea: have pretty front woman to distract from the gargoyle musicians!!
But yes: looks, talent and age on her side. Makes you sick.

Hello to everyone on the forum,
though there's no Kronos on it, it's at least rotating and very stable...

All the best,
Jo

I'm using the Spider Pro too, but before that, I was using an Ultimate Support M-92, so the Spider feels lighter to me!ScoobyDoo555 wrote:I'm using a Spider Pro at the moment....

I'm currently trying to persuade K&M to produce a new accessory to allow me to mount the speakers from my HK Lucas Nano 300 monitor rig on the stand also instead of having to use mic stands.

I had an Ultimate Apex a few years back (when I was gigging last time round) - sold it. Should have kept it tbh. Great stand.
But after using x-stands, I'd forgotten how heavy these more substantial stands are

I previously had the old Apex AX48 and so was initially intending to go for the Ultimate AX90 after the Quicklok M-92, but it didn't look like it would either be tall enough to play 2 keyboards standing or that there'd be enough room in front of the base of the stand for a pair of sustain pedals... it was allowing for the pedals that was my main reason to go for the Spider.
I bought the carry bag for the Spider too and being able to pop the handles over your shoulder does make the stand easier to carry.

I've said this before, you need to get yourself the metal frame from office desks that have those motorized ergonomically lift adjustment frames.
They are very sturdy and carry the Kronos's body (at least 88 key version) solidly. The bonus is you can adjust the height and there is nothing underneath the Kronos to bang against your legs, so you can adjust it nice and low, so you can actually see whats on that tiny nano-inch display.

.....Still waiting for the allusive, missing EXf for Oasys.....
