I'd have thought that it would also be worth considering some of the Elektron modules / drum machines. I reckon the DSI tempest has a fair bit of potential for hip hop too.

In the Korg domain, the ESX1 might also be worth considering alongside other kit...?

:o I changed my mind.
I hadn't been able to play my Kronos for over a month and I was able to get to get it set up and played it last night.

If money is no object, I would have two KronosX, one Motif XF, and a computer with Alchemy;KLC and Vienna. Two more motif XS racks and the Roland Integra.

If I had to limit that to simple, two KronosX and Alchemy.
Just the Korgs; Kronos X88; M3exp w/EXBRadias; Radias rack; KLC; N5.

I have one of my PSRs hooked up to the Kronos just for the rhythm section. I have hundreds of styles and many more if I care to invent them. So with a Kronos and a 16 piece backup, who needs a band?

It think you went with a great setup I just recommend that you buy Massive to use with logic, you have a great setup now and should be able to make anything you can think of. I also must state that the Korg Kronos is the best item your money can buy hands down, no computer setup could ever come close to replicating its Amazing repertoire of functionality and sound.

Gonna have to agree with Nedim on this! I have over a dozen hard synths, but more often than not, I'd use Sylenth1 or Omnisphere, just because it is more convenient....
